The four-part series, Didgah, will showcase Iranians with innovative approaches to progress
Persia Educational Foundation in partnership with Manoto TV will broadcast a four-part series, Didgah this summer. The first episode will air on Monday, 2 July 2018, at 6:30 p.m. BST (11:00 p.m. IRDT, 10:30 a.m. PST).
The TED-inspired series features eleven Iranians whose innovative approach to their profession is deeply rooted in their shared Iranian value to improve life for all while cherishing their cultural heritage. Whether as public figures or ordinary citizens, from Silicon Valley to London, or Los Angeles to The Hague, these Iranian women and men are shaping the future of our planet in technology, philanthropy, art, psychology, law, finance, science or other fields integral to a prosperous world.
Didgah serves as a platform to encourage young Iranians to pioneer in new ways and means of improving life for their own self and the society in which they live. The aim of the series is to showcase individuals whose journeys impart ideas and inspiration on how to combine the best that Iranian and global communities offer in order to find new opportunities when faced with contemporary challenges.
Filmed before a live audience at London’s Royal Geographical Society, each Didgah episode features a number of TED-styled multimedia presentations for a Persian-speaking audience. The first of its kind, Didgah series will air on 2, 9, 16 and 23 July on popular London-based Manoto TV.
