Kid to Kid Annual Campaign

In 2017 Persia initiated an annual campaign to encourage peer-to-peer civic responsibility among children. Kid 2 Kid provides an opportunity to support young citizens to learn about empathy, charity and service. Children and community-run Persian schools are invited to encourage their students and teachers to work together and raise funds during the campaign to help specific causes each year that primarily cater to Persian-speaking children in need. The aim of the Campaign is to eventually engage enough children in the community to raise GBP 2000 each year. In 2017 Tarbiat, Rustam, and Hadaf schools generously supported this initiative by holding bake sales, football tournaments and other similar activities raising just under GBP 1000. The funds raised were donated to an orphanage in Afghanistan, a fund in support of Grenfell Tower fire victims (that included several families in the Persian-speaking community) and establishment of the Persia Civic Award.
