Dinner and Discourse Series

The Dinner and Discourse Series featuring Women of Excellence is an initiative that brings together those who aspire for excellence in their fields and display a pioneering spirit in service to their community. The initiative serves as a platform for networking and collaboration among women and men. This Persia series has welcomed Dr. Nina Ansary (January 2017), Mehrangiz Kar (February 2017), Dr. Bahiyyih Nakhjavani (May 2018) and Dr. Sussan Babaie (May 2018). So far, each event has attracted between 20 and 35 participants. The idea is to keep the gathering to a size that facilitates discourse and networking. Persia plans to form a task force to further develop this line of activity and hold three Dinners each year. Proceeds raised from sale of tickets for Dinner and Discourse go towards Persia’s core and scholarship funds. In addition to tickets sales, where possible, books donated by authors or items donated by local businesses are sold to help raise funds for Persia.
